Dr. Song’s Biography
Doctor Yun Seon Song is currently a professor of Pharmacy and the University Dean of Students at Sookmyung's Women's University in Seoul, South Korea. She received her Bachelor's, Masters and Doctorates of Pharmacology from Sookmyung Women's University and conducted her post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University's department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Song's previous research included how oxidative stress affected neuronal cell death and survival under cerebral ischemic conditions. Recently her research explores the novel relevance of immunity and stroke. Her research team focuses on improving the function of the cerebrovascular and immune systems in animal model's cerebral ischemia.
